BRINGING THE SALES EXPERIENCE HOME FOR VR CATEGORY LEADER

In order to maximize resources and expand brand awareness, BDS launched a virtual sales experience on behalf of our virtual reality (VR) client leveraging our Tap-a-Tech™ platform. We used an innovative mix of virtual showrooming and live streamed sales support to create a new avenue for customer engagement.

The client utilized BDS’ Tap-a-Tech platform to enable 2-way video calls via a ‘Tap-a-Tech’ widget that was embedded on a partnering retailer’s website and via a QR code on the endcap in stores. On the other end, highly trained VR experts conducted instant product demos for customers, provided further product information, assisted with purchases, and gained immediate customer feedback.

A Brighter Experience

To bring the VR experience to life even further, BDS built a BrightShop remote store environment in Irvine, CA that was outfitted with demo products, displays, and more. The VR experts not only used the space to immerse customers in the products during video calls, but also used the spaced during downtime to create on-demand training content for store associates and other client teams.
